According to WaPo’s Adam Kilgore, the Nationals will call up last years other 1st round pick(10th overall)- righty reliever Drew Storen, and he will be joining the team in St.Louis. If all things were equal Storen would’ve no doubt made the team out of spring training, but since he was drafted just last summer and the organization wanted to give other guys(Bruney,Walker) a chance to prove themselves, he was put in the minors. Tyler Walker has been able to earn himself a spot in middle-relief, while Bruney may have earned himself either a trip to AAA or a pink slip. [...]

Tonight I went to the Potomac Nationals game for the second week in a row. They faced off against the Wilmington Blue Rocks, a Kansas City Royals Advanced A affiliate, in a clash for first place. This Wilmington team was on fire, having won 11 in a row coming into tonight’s game and they had no problem making it an even dozen after an 8-1 win.
