		<description><![CDATA[Trade deadline?  Who cares about the stupid trade deadline?  Obviously not the Nationals as they traded second baseman Anderson Hernandez back to the Mets for minor league second baseman Greg Veloz.  Normally this would not be a headline worthy trade but it&#8217;s a slow news day.  In my opinion this trade is simply a matter of Jim Riggleman not liking Anderson Hernandez.  Hernandez was the Nationals&#8217; starting 2B for much of the season but since Riggleman took over he&#8217;s seen his playing time almost stop completely.  So to sum things up, the Nationals just traded their best defensive second baseman [...]]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Trade deadline?  Who cares about the stupid trade deadline?  Obviously not the Nationals as they traded second baseman Anderson Hernandez back to the Mets for minor league second baseman Greg Veloz.  Normally this would not be a headline worthy trade but it&#8217;s a slow news day.  In my opinion this trade is simply a matter of Jim Riggleman not liking Anderson Hernandez.  Hernandez was the Nationals&#8217; starting 2B for much of the season but since Riggleman took over he&#8217;s seen his playing time almost stop completely.  So to sum things up, the Nationals just traded their best defensive second baseman for a low level minor league speedster who probably won&#8217;t project to anything more than a utility man.   I pray that we can get a real GM soon.</p>
<p>To fill Hernandez&#8217;s roster spot, the Nationals recalled relief pitcher Saul Rivera from Triple A Syracuse.  Yawn.</p>
