Opening day is getting closer and closer, and in preparation, the Nats have headed down to Florida to their winter home in Viera.
There’s a lot of new faces on the field and a lot of them will be making debuts in Washington soon enough. For one, it’s looking more like both catcher Jesus Flores and Ivan Rodriguez will be splitting the shift. Also number one pick pitcher Stephen Strasburg will be making his debut against the Tigers on March 9.
It’s a little more than a week until the team splits in half to face both Marlins and Astros as the Grapefruit games get under way on March 4.
Also for any fans of the P-Nats, Hagerstown Suns, Harrisburg Senators or Syracuse Chiefs the brief spring training game line up for the National’s minor league teams is posted.
