Matt Capps joins the Nationals

AUTHOR: Alex Murphy | IN: Nationals | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

After talks went late into the night on Wednesday, Matt Capps is joining the Nationals.
The RHP  is signing a one year contract as a closer for the team as long as he can pass a January physical. There is still some question about the exact deal, although ESPN is now reporting it is a $3.5 million deal with a good performance incentive of $425,000.

Rumors are also questioning whether the team is trying to pick up reliever Eddie Guardado. According to multiple sources the team wants to [...]

Schools were closed and everything came to a virtual stand still from North Carolina up to New England. The Washington Nationals have totally been ignoring the storm as they have been working around the clock.  On Tuesday the team held a news conference properly announcing the signing of Jason Marquis.
Last year Marquis pitched with a 4.04 ERA, the third best [...]

On Monday the Washington Post proved the rumors true as it is now official; Jason Marquis has also joined the team. The right handed pitcher who most recently played for the Rockies will be joining for a two year $15 million contract.
